Position Overview
 

The CAT/CT Scan Technologist produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of specific areas as ordered by a physician.  These cross-sectional images provide detailed information about soft tissues, blood vessels, and bones, which are essential for accurate diagnostics.  The CAT/CT Scan Technologist obtains patient history, explains standard procedures, and addresses patient concerns. The CAT/CT Technologist also performs a variety of specialized tasks involved in the performance of CT scans.
 

Minimum Requirements:

• Graduate an American Medical Association (AMA) Accredited Radiography Program.
• Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Valid Massachusetts State License in Radiation Control.
• Must have certification from an accredited CT program or currently registered in CT by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, 3 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist  OR 1 year current (within the last 5 years) CT Tech experience.
• Current BLS
