Registered Nurse – Oncology Infusion (Travel)
Facility: Lee Health Cancer Center – Outpatient Center (Lee Health)
Location: 8931 Colonial Center Dr., Fort Myers, FL 33905
Contract Type: Travel (Nursing)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour day shifts
On-Call: Not required

Job Summary
The Oncology Infusion Registered Nurse provides care for patients receiving chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive oncology treatments in a high-volume outpatient infusion center. The nurse is responsible for safe administration of complex medications, patient monitoring, and coordination of oncology treatment plans using the Epic Beacon oncology platform.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of oncology or infusion nursing experience required
Active RN license required
BLS required
Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy/Biotherapy provider certification required or strongly preferred
Prior travel nursing experience preferred
Experience working in outpatient infusion or oncology clinic settings required
Must be able to manage multiple patients (up to 4:1 ratio, ~9–11 patients/day)
Preferred Certifications & Skills
OCN certification preferred
ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Card preferred
Experience with blood transfusions (PRBCs, platelets)
Experience with therapeutic phlebotomy
Strong experience with oncology medications such as IVIG, Remicade, Ferrlecit, Venofer, Orencia
Responsibilities
Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and biotherapy agents safely and accurately
Monitor patients during infusion treatments for adverse reactions
Provide pre- and post-infusion patient education and support
Manage blood product administration including transfusions
Perform therapeutic phlebotomy procedures as ordered
Coordinate care using Epic with Beacon oncology module
Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to oncology safety standards
Collaborate with oncology providers and multidisciplinary care teams
Manage daily patient load in a fast-paced outpatient setting
Facility Notes
Outpatient oncology infusion center with high patient volume
Strict staffing ratios (maximum 4 patients per nurse at one time)
Travelers are expected to function as core staff immediately
Floating required to sister campuses as needed
All requested time off must be submitted at time of application (no changes after submission)
Strict documentation deadline: Monday prior to start date
Culture fit is highly emphasized for traveler selection
Pre-screen and final interview required prior to offer
