Position Summary
Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist I/II – Advanced Occupational Therapist I/II to provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to patients across various age groups. The therapist will evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans designed to improve patients' functional abilities, independence, and quality of life.
This position offers an opportunity to work within a collaborative multidisciplinary healthcare environment serving diverse patient populations.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients to determine functional limitations and rehabilitation needs.
- Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans.
- Provide therapeutic interventions to improve activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, coordination, and independence.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans and home exercise programs.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in discharge planning and continuity of care.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, professional, and organizational standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Active and unrestricted Occupational Therapist license.
- Current CPR/BLS certification (if required by facility).
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospital, outpatient, rehabilitation, or community health settings.
- Advanced Occupational Therapy experience.
- Experience working with pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR).
