Description
Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Contract Opportunity
Requirements:
- Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) License
- Current BLS Certification
- Must be available for Every Other Weekend (EOW) coverage
Responsibilities:
- Assist with implementing treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Perform physical therapy treatments and therapeutic exercises as directed.
- Monitor patient progress and document treatment outcomes accurately.
- Modify specific treatments within the established plan of care and scope of practice, in accordance with state regulations.
- Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises and treatment goals.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with facility policies.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures.
- Ensure patient privacy, safety, and quality of care at all times.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Active PTA license in the state of practice.
- Current BLS certification.
- Strong communication, documentation, and patient care skills.
- Previous clinical experience preferred.
