Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical

Shift Details

  • Shift: Nights
  • Schedule: 3x12-Hour Shifts
  • Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • Weekly Hours: 36 Hours

Position Overview

Join a highly respected Medical Surgical team dedicated to providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced acute care setting. We are seeking an experienced Med Surg RN who is passionate about delivering quality patient outcomes and thrives in a collaborative healthcare environment.

Requirements

  • Active RN License
  • Minimum recent Medical Surgical nursing experience required
  • Previous Medical Surgical experience is mandatory
  • BLS/BCLS Certification
  • ACLS Certification
  • Telemetry experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
  • Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes to the healthcare team.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
  • Provide patient and family education.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with facility policies.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Schedule & Unit Expectations

  • Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • 36 hours per week
  • No call required
  • Every other weekend required
  • Block scheduling not available
  • Must be flexible to meet unit scheduling needs

Additional Requirements

  • Compliance with all facility and state requirements.
  • Influenza vaccination is required in accordance with State of Maine regulations.
