CLS / Blood Bank Traveler - Key Requirements Summary
Position: Clinical Laboratory Scientist (Blood Bank)
Facility: Acute Care, Magnet Hospital
Beds: 426
Charting: Epic
Shift: 4x10s Variable Days (Start time 2130; may flex to 2000 as needed)
Start Date: ASAP
Must-Have Requirements (Hard Stops)
- Minimum 2 years of CLS experience
- Experienced traveler required (No first-time travelers)
- Current/Recent Blood Bank experience within the last 2 years
- Blood Bank traveler experience required
- ASCP-BB certification required
- Epic experience required
- Experience with Blood Bank software (WellSky preferred; any Blood Bank software required)
- Experience in a Level I Trauma Center
- Experience in a 300+ bed hospital
- Must be able to work independently on night shift
- High-volume Blood Bank experience:
- 30–50 samples/day
- Type & Screen
- Crossmatching
Preferred Qualifications
- Teaching hospital experience
- WellSky experience
- Immucor instrumentation experience
- Specialist in Blood Banking / Clinical Immunohematology certification
