Description

Interventional Technologist I

Assists physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures in Interventional Radiology and Invasive Cardiology, including cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, angiography, device implantation, biopsies, thrombectomy, and embolization.
Operates specialized imaging equipment while ensuring patient safety, quality standards, and sterile technique throughout procedures.
Functions as a scrub technologist, prepares patients for procedures, and provides patient and family education and support.
Performs image transfer, documentation, quality control, equipment maintenance, and post-procedure reviews to meet departmental and accreditation standards.
Participates in on-call coverage, quality improvement initiatives, and may assist with training, onboarding, and mentoring students and new staff.
