Description
Interventional Technologist I
- Assists physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures in Interventional Radiology and Invasive Cardiology, including cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, angiography, device implantation, biopsies, thrombectomy, and embolization.
- Operates specialized imaging equipment while ensuring patient safety, quality standards, and sterile technique throughout procedures.
- Functions as a scrub technologist, prepares patients for procedures, and provides patient and family education and support.
- Performs image transfer, documentation, quality control, equipment maintenance, and post-procedure reviews to meet departmental and accreditation standards.
- Participates in on-call coverage, quality improvement initiatives, and may assist with training, onboarding, and mentoring students and new staff.
