Description
Specialty: Neuro Rehab / Med-Surg
Unit: 23-bed high-acuity rehab unit
Overview:
Caring for patients with spinal cord injuries, TBI, strokes, amputations, burns, and multi-trauma (no peds assignment required). Ratios typically 1:6–7.
Requirements:
- 1+ year experience (first-time travelers accepted with approval)
- BLS & NIHSS required
- Experience with trachs, vents, bipap/cpap, IVs, PICC/central lines, wound care, tube feeds, and drains
Additional Info:
Strong acute care background preferred. RN responsible for labs with phlebotomy support; CNA support 1:7–8. Patients may leave unit for HD/PD.
