Level I Low-Risk Birthing Center
Single Room Maternity Care model
Family-Centered Care approach
Inpatient and Outpatient services

Patient Population

Antepartum patients
Intrapartum (Labor & Delivery) patients
Postpartum patients
Newborn stabilization
Normal newborn care
Pediatric patients during the perinatal period
Clean female surgical cases
Cesarean section patients (performed and recovered on the unit)

RN Responsibilities

Comprehensive patient assessment
Nursing diagnosis and care planning
Implementation and evaluation of care plans
Patient and family education
Documentation of patient outcomes
Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
