Description
Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Schedule:
• Night Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• 3x12-Hour Shifts (36 Hours/Week)
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide specialized care to critically ill and premature neonates
• Manage ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and advanced respiratory support
• Care for surgical infants and neonates with complex medical conditions
• Perform assessments, medication administration, and family education
• Assist with therapeutic hypothermia, nitric oxide therapy, and central line management
• Float to PICU, Pediatrics, or Nursery units caring for infants up to 12 months when needed
Required Experience:
• Minimum 3 years of recent Level III or Level IV NICU experience (Required)
• Ventilator management experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
Required Certifications:
• BLS
• NRP
Required Skills:
• NICU III/IV Experience
• Ventilator Management (AC, PC, SIMV, CPAP, BiPAP, PEEP)
• Nitric Oxide Therapy
• Thermoregulation
• Feeding Management (Bottle, Breast, Gavage)
• Central Line Care
• Tracheostomy Care
• Umbilical Artery and Vein Catheter Management
Additional Details:
• Weekend Requirement: 3 Fridays, 3 Saturdays, and 3 Sundays every 6-week schedule
• Floating Required to PICU, Pediatrics, and Nursery units caring for infants up to 12 months
• Navy Blue or White Scrubs
• Up to 7 days of RTO allowed at submission (No holidays)
• No additional RTO permitted after contract signing
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate
• NC or Compact License accepted (pending status may be considered)
• Travel pairs allowed (must work on different units)
