Description

Schedule & Requirements

  • Shift: Nights, 3x12-Hour (5:45 PM – 6:15 AM)

Required Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience
  • Previous travel experience required
  • Experience managing:
    • Adult and Pediatric Emergency patients
    • Trauma and critical care patients
    • Stroke (CVA) and STEMI patients
    • Psychiatric and Behavioral Health emergencies
    • Ventilated patients
    • Procedural sedation cases
    • High-acuity emergency situations

Required Certifications

  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • PALS
  • NIHSS

Preferred Certifications

  • TNCC
  • CPI

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, triage, and prioritize emergency patients based on acuity.
  • Provide emergency nursing care for medical, surgical, trauma, psychiatric, and pediatric patients.
  • Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapies.
  • Monitor and manage critically ill patients requiring cardiac monitoring and respiratory support.
  • Assist with procedural sedation and emergency interventions.
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, radiology, and social services.
  • Document patient care accurately in Epic EMR.
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
  • Maintain compliance with infection-control and patient-safety standards.
