Description

Schedule & Requirements

  • Shift: 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM
  • Hours: 36 hours/week
  • Contract Length: 13 Weeks
  • Radius Rule: 60 Miles (Driver's License required at submission)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide emergency nursing care for adult, pediatric, trauma, stroke, and cardiac patients across multiple Emergency Departments.
  • Perform rapid patient assessments, triage, stabilization, and ongoing monitoring.
  • Administer emergency medications, blood products, IV drips, and procedural sedation.
  • Interpret cardiac rhythms, ABGs, and emergency diagnostic results.
  • Manage ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow oxygen devices, and critical care equipment.
  • Initiate and maintain IV access, central line care, and emergency interventions.
  • Perform stroke, STEMI, trauma, and sepsis protocols.
  • Document patient care accurately in Epic EMR.
  • Float to all facilities within Zone 1 based on staffing needs.
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary teams.

  • IV vasopressor administration.
  • Dysrhythmia interpretation and management.
  • ABG interpretation.
  • Care of ventilated patients.
  • Psychiatric and behavioral health emergency management.
  • Pediatric emergency care.
  • Point-of-care testing.

Required Certifications

  • BLS (AHA)
  • ACLS (AHA)
  • PALS (AHA)
  • TNCC
  • NIHSS
  • Active RN License

Required Experience

  • Recent Emergency Department experience required.
  • Experience with trauma, stroke, and cardiac emergency patients.
  • Experience managing high-acuity patients in a fast-paced ER setting.
  • Ability to independently interpret telemetry rhythms.
  • Experience using Epic EMR preferred.
