Job Title: Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) – Travel Contract

Shift:

• 12-Hour Variable Shifts (Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30) Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30))
• Candidates requesting straight days only will not be considered

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN License
• BSN
• AHA BLS Certification
• ACLS Certification
• NIHSS Certification
• PALS Certification
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department (ED) experience (Required)
• At least one previous travel assignment (Required)
• Completed references available at the time of submission
• Ability and willingness to float to other UCSF facilities as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Level I Trauma Center experience
• Continuous IV Sedation experience
• Triage experience
• CPI Certification

Clinical Skills Required

Emergency Department

• General Emergency Department experience (Adult & Pediatric)
• Level II Trauma experience
• Triage

Respiratory

• Care of Ventilated Patients

Medication Administration

• Procedural Sedation Administration and Monitoring
• Continuous IV Sedation (Preferred)

Neurological

• Stroke/CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident) patient care

Cardiac Monitoring & Emergency Response

• Interpretation of Dysrhythmias
• Management of Dysrhythmias
• Management of Patients with Multi-System Organ Dysfunction/Failure

IV Therapy & Phlebotomy

• Phlebotomy
• Starting and Maintaining IVs

Certifications

Required:

• BLS
• ACLS
• NIHSS
• PALS

Preferred:

• CPI

Additional Information

• Candidates must be flexible with scheduling and willing to work variable shifts.
• Previous travel experience is mandatory.
• References must be completed and available at the time of submission.
• Must be willing to float to other UCSF facilities as needed.
