Description

Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – PACU
Facility: Mission Hospital
Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 Weeks (91 Days)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week

Shift

PACU Shift: 9:00 AM – 9:30 PM
12-hour day shifts
Schedule made in 6-week blocks
3 call shifts required every 6 weeks

Unit Information

40-bed PACU
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:2
Charting System: Cerner
Support staff:
- Health Unit Coordinator (HUC)
- 4 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) daily

Required Certifications

BLS
ACLS
PALS

Required Experience

PACU experience
Trauma experience preferred
Pediatric experience preferred
NIH Stroke Scale experience
Ventilator monitoring skills

Floating

Must be willing to float within:

Endoscopy
Pre-Op
Phase II Recovery

Patient Care

Post-anesthesia recovery patients
Adult and pediatric cases
Trauma patients

Scrubs

Surgical Green or Navy Blue
