Position: Perfusionist Sets up and operates heart/lung machines that support organ function during cardiac surgery or other procedure where circulatory or respiratory function is disrupted. Operates equipment to produce bypass, coronary perfusion, recirculation or partial bypass, or to alter blood temperature, balance, or content. Shift: 5x8s, 7:00a-3:00p Is on-call REQ? (Y/N): YES, Call is Monday 3am - until the next Monday 7am. Weekend REQ: See on-call notes Will this traveler float between service lines? (Y/N): NO Floating Req to Sister Facilities? (Y/N): NO Types of procedures performed on the unit: CABG, VASCULAR , NEURO, OR ANY CASE WITH POTENTIAL OF MAJOR BLOOD LOSS. Required/Preferred Years of experience REQ: 2 Years First time travelers accepted (Y/N): YES Education Required: ACCREDITED CARDIOVASCULAR PERFUSION PROGRAM Certifications REQ: ABCP CERTIFICATION, ACLS, BLS Radiation Badge REQ (Y/N): Yes. Radiation badge MUST be provided by agency; MUSC does NOT provide radiation badges to travelers Equipment Experience Required: HEART/LUNG MACHINE, QUEST, AUTOTRANSFUSION, CARDIOHELP, IMPELLA , IABP AND ANY OTHER STANDARD PERFUSION EQUIPMENT. Miscellaneous Open to accommodating block schedule? (Y/N): Requires managers approval upon request. Dependent on unit's needs Local Radius: 60-mile radius rule Locals Accepted: No local travelers accepted RTO Restrictions for Client Offers: All RTO must be included at time of submission. Approval will be based on facility needs Guaranteed Hours: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks. Called off hours can be broken down to add up to 1 shift Hospital Highlights Type of Facility: Total Staffed Beds: 276 Scrub Color: Scrubs are provided Charting: Epic Parking Cost: None
