Description
📍 Travel RN – CVOR Rapid Response Opportunity – Asheville, NC
Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – CVOR Rapid Response
📋 Job Responsibilities
- Provide pre-operative care for cardiovascular surgery patients.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and preparation before surgery.
- Start large-bore IVs and administer medications per protocol.
- Assist with arterial line, central line, and epidural placements.
- Complete skin assessments, surgical site preparation, and hair removal.
- Assist with induction, intubation, positioning, and patient transport to the OR.
- Monitor patients using GE Carescape monitoring equipment.
- Document patient care accurately in Cerner EMR.
- Collaborate with CVOR staff and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
✅ Requirements
- Active RN License required.
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.
- Critical Care experience required.
- Strong critical thinking and independent decision-making skills.
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment preferred.
- Pre-Op experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
📞 Additional Information
- Stay-late coverage may be required 1–2 times per week based on patient needs.
- Floating may occur within scope of practice and experience.
- 1:1 patient ratio in a specialized CV Pre-Op unit.
