  • Med Surg/Telemetry Nurse (2 years)

Description

Department: Med Surg | Neuro 

Must have' skills: Must have more than 3 years of experience with solid MedSurg or Tele background with preferred stroke experience.

 

Ortho/spine/stroke experience is good but neuro (aka a unicorn) is a plus!

Shift: 12H Nights 7p-7a, weekends as needed, first to float 

Nurse to Patient Ratios: 1:3-4 

Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS

Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Neuro: stroke, spine/back surgeries, cranial surgeries (usually don't give to travelers), neck, medical neuro disorders, neuro intervention procedures, Guillain Barre, Myasthenia Gravis, seizures, EEG monitoring. Any surgery accessing the nerves. 

Average pt length of stay 2-5 days.

 

Ok with first time traveler.

Are RNs required to titrate drips: no
