🩺 Job Summary

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides advanced-level respiratory care to evaluate, treat, and manage patients with cardiopulmonary conditions. This role includes diagnostics, life support, patient education, and critical care interventions while working closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.

 

🔧 Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and interpret diagnostic respiratory procedures and arterial blood gases (ABGs)
  • Administer respiratory therapies and medications safely and effectively
  • Initiate and manage respiratory protocols and interventions
  • Monitor patient status and adjust care based on clinical assessments
  • Troubleshoot and maintain respiratory equipment
  • Provide patient and family education on treatments and self-care
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and productivity tracking
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care teams for optimal outcomes
  • Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
  • Serve as a resource and mentor to staff

 

✅ Requirements

  • RRT Certification (NBRC) – Required
  • Active Colorado License (DORA) – Required
  • BLS (AHA) – Required
  • ACLS (AHA) – Required
  • Minimum 1+ year of Respiratory Therapy experience
  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
