Schedule & Requirements
Shift
- Days: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Facility: Alaska Regional Hospital
- Location: Anchorage, Alaska
- Contract Length: 13 Weeks
- Department: Operating Room (OR)
- Position: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Operating Room
Three 12-hour shifts per week
Night Shift Staffing
- 1 Charge RN
- 1 Scrub Tech
- Call Team Backup
Required Experience
✔ Minimum recent Surgical Tech experience in a busy OR setting
✔ Strong experience with:
- Da Vinci Xi Robotics
- Spinal Fusion Procedures (Orthopedic and/or Neuro)
- Orthopedics
- Total Joint Arthroplasty
✔ Experience scrubbing complex surgical procedures
Preferred Experience
- Multi-level Spine Fusions
- Robotic GYN Procedures
- Robotic Colorectal Procedures
- Robotic General Surgery Cases
Required Certifications
✔ NBSTSA Certification (Required)
✔ BLS Certification
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain sterile surgical field
- Scrub and assist during surgical procedures
- Anticipate surgeon needs and provide instruments/equipment
- Ensure proper handling of surgical instruments and supplies
- Maintain aseptic technique throughout procedures
- Assist with room turnover and case preparation
- Support patient safety and surgical team efficiency
- Document appropriately per facility policy
