Take your surgical expertise to the mountains of Montana! We are seeking an adaptable, highly skilled Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Surgical Technologist for a 13-week travel contract at Intermountain St. Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, MT.

This position requires a sharp, proactive professional who maintains exceptional sterile fields, commands a strong understanding of open-heart/vascular instrumentation, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced cardiovascular team setting.

Position Details

• Start Date: 07/20/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Variable 12-Hour Shifts
• Schedule: 36 hours per week (3x12s)
• On-Call: Required per department scheduling and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform precise scrub duties and strictly maintain sterile supplies and advanced sterile techniques during cardiovascular procedures.
• Assemble, organize, and complete highly specific case carts according to physician preference lists.
• Anticipate the surgeon's needs, providing appropriate instrumentation, sutures, and specialized supplies efficiently.
• Conduct strict sponge, needle, blade, and instrument counts using proper surgical tech protocols.
• Handle, care for, and prepare specimens, implants, dressings, and contaminated sharps according to established hospital policies.
• Support rapid, efficient room turnovers to ensure optimized patient care and workflow.

Requirements (No Exceptions)

• Minimum 2+ years of recent, dedicated CVOR Tech experience (Open Heart / Vascular experience required).
• Active Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent qualification required by the state.
• Absolute mastery of sterile processing, aseptic fields, and surgical instrumentation.
• Must be highly flexible with variable 12-hour shift assignments.
• High flexibility to float to standard OR rooms or alternative departments as clinical demand dictates.
