Surgical Technician (Travel) – Evening Shift

Location: Pleasanton, CA
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 13 weeks (possible extensions)
Shift: Evenings, 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
Schedule: 3x12s | 36 hours/week

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technician (CST) to support surgical services at a leading healthcare facility in Pleasanton, CA. The Surgical Technician will work closely with surgeons, nurses, and the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient, and sterile surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies
• Maintain sterile technique throughout surgical procedures
• Anticipate surgeon needs and pass instruments and supplies efficiently
• Assist with patient positioning, draping, and surgical site preparation
• Perform surgical counts and ensure compliance with safety protocols
• Clean, restock, and prepare operating rooms between cases
• Document procedures and patient information using EPIC
• Follow hospital policies, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements

Requirements

• 3+ years of recent Surgical Technician experience
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – required
• BLS certification – required
• EPIC EMR experience – required
• Ability to work evening shifts and a fast-paced surgical environment
