Department: Operating Room (OR) RN
Shift: 4x10s Days | Monday–Thursday | 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
 

Requirements

• Certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Experience: Minimum 3 years OR experience
• Travel Experience: Required
• Preferred Skills: Robotics, GI, Total Joints, General Surgery
• Scrubbing: Preferred but not required

OR Details

• 6 OR Suites + 2 GI Suites
• Average 12 cases/day
• Common Cases:
  • Total Joints
  • ORIFs
  • Tendon Repairs
  • Hernia Repairs
  • Cholecystectomy
  • Appendectomy
  • Robotic Bowel Resections
  • Endoscopic Sinus Surgery
  • Tonsil & Adenoid Procedures (Peds)
  • Cataracts
  • Blepharoplasty

Call Requirements

• Weeknight Call: 1 night/week from end of cases until 6:30 AM
• Weekend Call: Every 3rd–4th weekend (Friday 6:30 PM – Monday 6:30 AM)
• Holiday Call: Travelers expected to work most holidays (typically 2 of 3 winter holidays)
• Response Time: 30 minutes

Facility Information

• EMR: Cerner
• OR Techs Available: Yes
• Charge Nurse: Mostly manages department
• Scrubs: Gray scrubs provided by facility
• Orientation: Up to 4 shifts (includes cataract training)

Floating

May occasionally float as helping hands to:

• ED
• Med-Surg
• LTC

• Must disclose if candidate has ever worked for Marshfield
• Previous Marshfield employees must have been separated for at least 6 months
• All clinicians must clock in and out at the facility

Ideal Candidate

✔ 3+ years OR experience
✔ Prior travel experience
✔ Strong General Surgery & Ortho background
✔ Robotics experience preferred
✔ Comfortable with call requirements and holiday coverage
