Description
POSITION TITLE: Dual CT/X-Ray Technologist
SPECIALTY: Radiology – CT / Radiography (Dual Modality)
FACILITY: Chinle Comprehensive Health Care Facility (CCHCF)
LOCATION: Chinle, AZ (Navajo Nation – Apache County)
ASSIGNMENT TYPE: Travel Allied
CONTRACT LENGTH: 13 weeks (renewable up to 2 years)
SHIFT: 12-hour shifts | Day (8AM–8PM) / Night (8PM–8AM)
SCHEDULE: 7 days on / 7 days off | Includes weekends and holidays
HOURS PER WEEK: 36 to 40
COMPENSATION
Gross Weekly Pay: $3,446
Taxable Hourly Rate: $55.00/hr
Overtime Rate: $82.50/hr
Weekly Non-Taxable Stipend (Per Diem): $1,246/week
One-Time Travel Allowance: $500 (paid upon start)
POSITION OVERVIEW
Join DT Trak on a high-impact travel assignment serving the Navajo Nation at the Chinle Comprehensive Health Care Facility, a 60-bed inpatient hospital and full-service outpatient facility operated by the Indian Health Service (IHS). This role supports a medically underserved rural community where your skills make a direct difference in patient outcomes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform CT, fluoroscopy, and general radiographic imaging including IVP, barium swallow, cystograms, and C-arm operation during surgical procedures
- Perform IV cannulation, administer IV contrast, and monitor for injection complications
- Confer with radiologist on complex and non-standard exams
- Assist physicians in administering opaque media for prescribed CT and radiographic exams
- Document in EHR in compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, and IHS standards within 4 days of encounter
- Participate in ARRT-required QC activities and Joint Commission peer review
- Assist with emergency first aid and initiate CPR when needed
- Operate facility equipment: GE Revolution Evo CT, Shimadzu X-ray (including portables), GE portable X-ray, and GE Precision Fluoroscopy
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- ARRT certification in both CT and Radiography (XR) — dual certification required, no lapses permitted
- Minimum 12 months of CT/Radiology Technologist experience; any experience gap must not exceed 6 months
- Current BLS/CPR certification required
- Valid state driver's license
- Current immunizations: Hepatitis B, MMR, Varicella, Tdap (within 5 years), Influenza (within 1 year), TB/PPD (within 12 months)
- Must pass federal Level I and Level II background checks (FBI fingerprint clearance required prior to start)
- English proficiency required; cultural sensitivity to American Indian and Alaska Native communities strongly valued

- All key personnel must be appointed to the CSU Consulting Medical Staff prior to start
