Description

Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care to mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)
Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs, contractions, and fetal heart rate
Support mothers during labor and delivery, including coaching and emotional support
Identify and respond to complications during labor and postpartum
Administer medications and treatments as ordered
Assist with postpartum recovery and newborn care
Educate patients and families on care and recovery
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes
Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to patient safety standards

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (KY or compact required)
2+ years of recent Labor & Delivery experience (Level I acute care preferred)
Experience in L&D, Postpartum, and Nursery required
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, Intermediate AWHONN Fetal Monitoring
Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills

Schedule & Additional Details

36/48-hour biweekly schedule
Every other weekend required
Float required within scope (L&D, Postpartum, Nursery)
Must live 75+ miles from facility
