Respiratory Therapist (RT) – Acute Care Hospital

Must Have

• Active Respiratory Therapist license/credential
• BLS Certification
• ACLS Certification
• NRP Certification
• Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapy experience
• Adult Critical Care experience
• Neonatal (NICU/Newborn) experience
• Emergency Room respiratory care experience
• Experience with ventilator management
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Strong teamwork and flexibility

Preferred

• Experience with newborn through adult patient populations
• Critical Care and Emergency Department experience
• Experience with high-flow oxygen therapy
• Blood gas analysis experience
• Experience with multiple ventilator platforms

Schedule

• Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
• 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week
• Every Other Weekend Required
• Every Other Holiday Required
• Floating as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, treat, and monitor patients with cardiopulmonary disorders
• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and respiratory treatments
• Manage mechanical ventilation for critically ill patients
• Respond to respiratory emergencies and rapid response situations
• Perform ventilator setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting
• Assist with airway management and intubation support
• Obtain and analyze arterial blood gases (ABGs)
• Care for neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients requiring respiratory support
• Document patient care and respiratory assessments in EPIC
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families regarding respiratory treatments and therapies
