CT Technologist (Computed Tomography Technologist)
Location: Barberton Campus – CAT Scan Department
Barberton, Ohio
Assignment Duration: July 12, 2026 – October 10, 2026
Job Type: Long-Term Assignment (Travel/Contract)
Shift: First Shift – Rotating 10 & 12 Hour Shifts
Schedule: 36–40 Hours per Week

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced CT Technologist to join the CAT Scan Department at Barberton Campus. The CT Technologist will operate Computed Tomography and Radiologic imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and exceptional care. The technologist will collaborate closely with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare team members to support accurate diagnoses and treatment planning.
Schedule Details
- Rotating schedule consisting of 10-hour and 12-hour shifts
- Typical hours:
- 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Unique rotating schedule:
- Work 3 days, off 1 day, work 3 days
- Following week: off 3 days, work 1 day, off 3 days
- Rotates throughout the duration of the assignment
- Weekend coverage required
- No on-call responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic CT examinations and radiographic procedures according to established protocols.
- Operate Toshiba/Cannon CT imaging equipment proficiently.
- Evaluate image quality and collaborate with radiologists to obtain additional imaging when necessary.
- Assist with emergency department imaging procedures, including stroke team activations.
- Prepare and position patients appropriately for imaging studies.
- Administer contrast media and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Assist physicians with invasive and interventional imaging procedures as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within electronic systems.
- Adhere to radiation safety standards and departmental policies.
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining patient dignity and privacy.
- Perform CPR and respond appropriately during emergency situations.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
Certifications & Licensure
- Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required.
- Current Ohio Radiographer License required.
- Current BLS certification required.
Experience
- Minimum of two (2) years of CT/Radiology experience required.
- Experience in Emergency Department imaging and stroke protocols strongly preferred.
- Previous experience with Toshiba/Cannon CT systems preferred.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of CT imaging procedures and radiographic techniques.
- Ability to perform intravenous contrast injections.
- Excellent patient positioning and image acquisition skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift, transfer, and position patients safely.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and imaging systems.
- Ability to work independently with indirect supervision in a fast-paced environment.
