Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery

Contract Opportunity | 13 Weeks | 36 Hours/Week

We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to mothers during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.

Position Overview

The Labor & Delivery RN is accountable for applying the nursing process and delivering comprehensive patient care in the L&D setting. This role requires strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and the ability to respond efficiently to changing patient conditions with appropriate supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to mothers during labor, delivery, and recovery
• Monitor maternal vital signs and assess fetal well-being
• Identify and respond to potential complications
• Assist with childbirth and support physicians and care teams
• Educate patients and families on postpartum care and newborn care
• Address psychosocial and emotional needs of patients
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care
• Maintain compliance with all nursing standards and protocols

Minimum Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience (must be strong in Labor, Nursery, and Triage)

• Current certifications required:

  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NRP
  • AWHONN (or AWHONN MFTI, if applicable)

   

• Modality: RN – Labor & Delivery
• Schedule: 36 hours/week
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: July 13, 2026
• Interview Process: Phone interview required
