Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift
Facility: Community Regional Medical Center
Unit: Labor & Delivery (L&D)
Assignment Details
- Shift: Nights
- Hours: 36 hours guaranteed per week
- Schedule: Three (3) 12-hour shifts per week
- Contract Length: 13 WEEKS
- Start Date: ASAP
Position Summary
Community Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive care to mothers and newborns throughout the labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum process. The ideal candidate will be skilled in high-acuity obstetric care and thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and care for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients
- Monitor fetal heart tracings and maternal status during labor
- Assist physicians and midwives during deliveries and obstetric procedures
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
- Provide patient and family education regarding labor, delivery, and newborn care
- Respond effectively to obstetric emergencies
- Accurately document patient care and maintain compliance with facility standards
Requirements
- Active RN License
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
- Current AHA BLS Certification
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification (preferred)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification
- ACLS Certification (preferred or required per facility)
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
Patient Ratios
- Laboring Patients: 1:1 or 1:2
- Postpartum/Antepartum Patients: Per facility staffing guidelines

Staff constantly switched. My documents weren't sent to the school, resulting in a months lost pay. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get on touch with anyone to answer questions. I have been attempting to reach them for over a month with absolutely no response! They lose paperwork (tests, immunizations, background checks and fingerprints) resulting in even more lost work.
