Position Details
- Position: Travel RN – Neuro Med-Surg/Telemetry
- Facility: Lutheran Hospital
- Location: Indiana
- Contract Length: 13 Weeks
- Start Date: ASAP
- Auto Offer Position
- Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours bi-weekly (36 hours/week)
Schedule
- Shift: Days
- Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Block Scheduling: Not available
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Neuro Med-Surg/Telemetry experience required
- Experience caring for:
- Stroke patients
- Seizure patients
- Post-operative neurosurgical patients
- Trauma patients
- DKA patients
- Renal failure patients
- General post-operative patients
Required Certifications
- Active Indiana RN License
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
Required Skills
- Advanced neuro assessments
- Critical thinking and clinical judgment
- Drain management
- Post-surgical patient care
- Chest tube management
- Groin site management following Interventional Radiology procedures
- Telemetry monitoring experience
Unit Information
- Specialty: Neuro Med-Surg/Telemetry
- Number of Beds: 24
- Patient Ratio: 5:1 to 6:1
Patient Population
Higher-acuity Med-Surg and Telemetry patients, including:
- Stroke
- Seizures
- Post-op neuro surgeries
- Level II trauma patients
- Level I trauma patients transitioning from ICU
- Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA)
- Renal failure
- General post-operative care
EMR
- Cerner preferred
Additional Information
- Auto-offer opportunity
- Travelers must live more than 50 miles from the facility
- Local candidates are not accepted
- Driver's license and permanent home address must be submitted
- Home address must match driver's license
- Indiana RN license and all required certifications must be attached at submission or the profile will be rejected
- Position created due to contractor replacement
