Position Details

• Position: Travel RN – Neuro Med-Surg/Telemetry
• Facility: Lutheran Hospital
• Location: Indiana
• Contract Length: 13 Weeks
• Start Date: ASAP
• Auto Offer Position
• Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours bi-weekly (36 hours/week)

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Neuro Med-Surg/Telemetry experience required
• Experience caring for:
  • Stroke patients
  • Seizure patients
  • Post-operative neurosurgical patients
  • Trauma patients
  • DKA patients
  • Renal failure patients
  • General post-operative patients

Required Certifications

• Active Indiana RN License
• BLS
• ACLS
• NIHSS

Required Skills

• Advanced neuro assessments
• Critical thinking and clinical judgment
• Drain management
• Post-surgical patient care
• Chest tube management
• Groin site management following Interventional Radiology procedures
• Telemetry monitoring experience

Unit Information

• Specialty: Neuro Med-Surg/Telemetry
• Number of Beds: 24
• Patient Ratio: 5:1 to 6:1

Patient Population

Higher-acuity Med-Surg and Telemetry patients, including:

• Stroke
• Seizures
• Post-op neuro surgeries
• Level II trauma patients
• Level I trauma patients transitioning from ICU
• Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA)
• Renal failure
• General post-operative care

EMR

• Cerner preferred
