Travel Physical Therapist (PT) – Inpatient Rehabilitation

Shift: Days | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
 

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Travel Physical Therapist (PT) to join a 30-bed Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation unit. In this role, you will provide comprehensive evaluations and individualized treatment plans for patients recovering from neurological and orthopedic conditions, helping them regain mobility, independence, and quality of life.

This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative interdisciplinary team while caring for a diverse inpatient rehabilitation population.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide evidence-based treatment for patients recovering from:
    • Stroke
    • Brain injury
    • Multi-trauma
    • Post-spinal surgery
    • Other neurological conditions
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and case managers.
  • Document patient evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress using Cerner/OneChart.
  • Educate patients and families on treatment goals, exercises, and discharge planning.
  • Maintain productivity expectations while delivering high-quality patient care.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Physical Therapist (PT) license.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • Inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.
  • Experience treating neurological diagnoses is highly preferred.

Schedule

  • Monday–Friday
  • 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Rotating weekend coverage

Unit Highlights

  • 30-bed Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit
  • Typical caseload of 4–6 patients per day
  • Productivity expectation: 24 billable units per day
  • Electronic Medical Record: Cerner/OneChart
  • Dress Code: Black scrubs or business casual
