RN – Labor & Delivery (L&D) | Travel Assignment
Position: Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Location: 4755 Ogletown-Stanton Road, Newark, DE 19718
Schedule: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 3x12s | 36 Hours/Week
Requirements
- Active Delaware RN License or Compact RN License (in hand)
- RN License Number & Expiration Date
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience (No exceptions)
- Full SSN, Date of Birth, and Current Address
- List of all certifications with expiration dates
- All Requested Time Off (RTO) must be submitted with the initial application (no additions after submission)
Assignment Details
- Shift: 12-hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Weekly Hours: 36
- Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend (EOW)
- Holiday Requirement: Yes
- Call Requirement: None
- Float Requirement: Yes – to areas within skill level and acuity

- Charting System: Cerner
- Scrub Color: Ceil Blue (provided by the facility)
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3 based on patient acuity

Important Facility Policies
- Travel RNs are not permitted to work overtime or accumulate incidental overtime.
- Meal breaks are mandatory and must be taken as scheduled.
- In emergency situations (codes, rapid responses, significant events), nurses are expected to provide a timely handoff to the oncoming nurse or charge nurse to avoid overtime.
- Overtime exceptions apply only to designated procedural areas with scheduled on-call responsibilities.
