RN – Emergency Room (ER) | Travel Assignment
Location: Wilmington Hospital 501 W 14th St, Wilmington, DE 19801
Contract Length: 9 Weeks
Start Date: July 7, 2026
Facility Name - Christiana Hospital
Schedule
- Shift: Days
- Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
- 36 hours/week
Requirements
- Active Delaware RN License or Compact License (must be in hand at submission)
- Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience (required, no exceptions)
- Recent Epic EMR experience required
- RN License Number and Expiration Date
- List of Certifications with Expiration Dates
- Full SSN, DOB, and Address required for submission
- All Requested Time Off (RTO) must be disclosed at initial submission
- Maximum 3 days RTO
- RTO requests submitted after initial submission will not be approved

Assignment Details
- Auto Offer Position (ER List D)
- No Call Requirement
- Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday
- Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend
- Float Requirement: Yes, to areas within acuity
Overtime Policy
- Travel RNs are not authorized to pick up overtime shifts.
- Incidental overtime is not permitted and will not be approved.
Additional Expectations
- Travelers are expected to provide timely patient handoff at shift change.
- If involved in a code, rapid response, or significant event near shift end, coordinate with the charge nurse to ensure an efficient transition of care.
- Staff are expected to take scheduled meal breaks. Missed meal breaks will not be approved for additional compensation.
Important Notes
- ChristianaCare expects travelers to actively communicate with Charge Nurses, Assistant Nurse Managers (ANMs), and Nurse Managers (NMs) when assistance is needed to complete assignments safely and on time.
- Exceptions to overtime restrictions may apply only in select procedural areas with on-call responsibilities and emergent staffing needs.
