Description
Registered Nurse - Emergency Room
Location: Syracuse, New York
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (36 hours per week)
- Rotation includes every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) per department schedule
- No on-call required
Job Description
- Provide nursing care in the Emergency Department
- Utilize Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
Required Qualifications
Licensure & Certifications
- Valid RN license in New York
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience within the last year
Education
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Professional Requirements
- Specialty-specific competency testing
Additional Information
- No local contracts accepted; candidate must reside at least 75 miles from the facility
- Epic EHR experience preferred or required
- Emergency Department environment with pediatric patient care component
