Description

Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Location: Syracuse, New York
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (36 hours per week)

  • Rotation includes every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) per department schedule
  • No on-call required

Job Description

  • Provide nursing care in the Emergency Department
  • Utilize Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) system

Required Qualifications

Licensure & Certifications

  • Valid RN license in New York
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification

Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience within the last year

Education

  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Professional Requirements

  • Specialty-specific competency testing

Additional Information

  • No local contracts accepted; candidate must reside at least 75 miles from the facility
  • Epic EHR experience preferred or required
  • Emergency Department environment with pediatric patient care component

This position is suitable for Emergency Room Registered Nurses who meet the above licensure, certification, and health requirements and are available for a 13-week night shift assignment in Syracuse, NY.
