Description
Travel RN – Labor & Delivery (L&D)
Location: Denver, CO
Shift: Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (3x12s)
Position Summary
Join a high-acuity Labor & Delivery unit caring for laboring, antepartum, and high-risk obstetric patients. This assignment is ideal for experienced L&D nurses who are comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
- High-Risk Antepartum experience required
- Active RN License
- BLS and required facility certifications
Preferred Experience
- Mother-Baby/Couplet Care
- Experience with high-risk obstetric patients
Unit Details
- 26-bed Labor & Delivery Unit
- 52 nursing staff
- EMR: Meditech
- Fetal Monitoring: CPN Charting System
- Equipment: Alaris infusion pumps
Patient Ratios
- Antepartum: 1:4
- Laboring Patients: 1:1–1:2 (based on acuity)
Common Patient Types & Procedures
- Labor and delivery
- High-risk antepartum care
- Cesarean sections (C-sections)
- Cerclage procedures
- ED Obstetric (EDOB) patients
Typical Staffing
Day Shift
- 1 Charge RN
- Minimum 3 RNs

Night Shift
- 1 Charge RN
- Minimum 3 RNs
