• Position: Registered Nurse – Pre-Op / PACU
• Setting: Acute Care Hospital
• Shift: Day Shift (8 Hours)
• Guaranteed Hours: 32 Hours/Week
• Contract Length: 13 Weeks (91 Days)

Schedule

• Monday–Friday
• Pre-Op: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
• Other shifts:
  • 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
  • 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (or until the last patient is discharged)
• No weekends
• No holiday shifts
• Unit is closed every other Monday for elective cases

Candidate Requirements

• RN with Pre-Op and Post-Op (PACU) experience
• Previous travel experience required
• Team player with strong organization, flexibility, and communication skills

Required Certifications

• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS

Unit Information

• 20-bed Pre-Op/PACU
• Charge RN assists with lunch coverage
• 1–2 Nurse Aides daily
• Black scrubs provided

• General Surgery
• Gynecology
• Orthopedics
• Podiatry
• Urology
• Ophthalmology
• Hand Surgery
• Pain Clinic
• Endoscopy

Responsibilities

• Pre-operative and post-operative patient care
• PACU recovery monitoring
• Telemetry monitoring in PACU and procedure rooms
• Rare titration of Labetalol
• May float to the OR if experienced (not required)

Charting System

• Cerner

Additional Information

• Local candidates within 80 miles accepted at a reduced rate
• One-hour callback time
• BSN not required
• License required at submission
• Facility may cancel up to 12 hours during the 13-week contract
