Travel Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation
Hilo Medical Center | Hilo, Hawaii
Hilo Medical Center is seeking a Travel Speech-Language Pathologist for a 13-week contract in beautiful Hilo, Hawaii. Join a collaborative rehabilitation team providing inpatient acute rehabilitation services to adult patients recovering from neurological conditions, stroke, trauma, and other medically complex diagnoses.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced SLP who enjoys working in an interdisciplinary rehab environment and has experience with Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) and dysphagia management.

Responsibilities
- Perform speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing evaluations
- Complete and interpret Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS)
- Develop individualized treatment plans for communication, cognition, and dysphagia
- Treat patients recovering from stroke, neurological disorders, trauma, and other medically complex conditions
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing, PT, OT, dietitians, and case management
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and safe swallowing strategies
- Complete timely documentation and progress reporting
