Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical / Observation

Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital – Medical-Surgical & Observation Unit (55 Beds)

Must Have

• Active RN License
• BLS Certification
• Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Observation unit experience
• Experience caring for adult medical and surgical patients
• Strong patient assessment and clinical judgment skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy experience
• Ability to manage multiple patient assignments in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
• Accurate EMR documentation experience

Preferred

• Previous travel nursing experience
• Telemetry experience
• Experience with post-operative patients
• Acute care hospital experience
• ACLS Certification

Schedule

• Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• 12-Hour Shifts
• Contract Length: Approximately 13 Weeks

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical and observation patients
• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to clinical changes
• Care for post-operative and acute medical patients
• Coordinate discharge planning and patient education
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Promote patient safety and quality outcomes
• Delegate patient care appropriately to support staff
