Travel Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – Days | 13-Week Contract
Shift: 12-Hour Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts | 36 Hours/Week
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care for patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring. The ideal candidate will have extensive telemetry experience, strong cardiac assessment skills, and proficiency in post-cardiac procedure care, stroke assessments, and dysrhythmia recognition.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to telemetry patients.
- Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and respond promptly to changes in condition.
- Manage patients following cardiac catheterization and other cardiac procedures.
- Monitor and manage TR bands and achieve hemostasis following procedures.
- Perform and document stroke assessments.
- Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to develop patient care plans.
- Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record.
- Float to other designated units or affiliated facilities as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Active New Hampshire RN License or Compact RN License at the time of submission.
- Minimum 3 years of recent Telemetry RN experience.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
- NHISS (NIH Stroke Scale) certification required prior to start.
- Ability to pass a Dysrhythmia Exam during onboarding with a minimum score of 80%.
Required Clinical Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation.
- Post-cardiac catheterization patient care.
- TR Band management.
- Hemostasis management.
- Stroke assessment and neurological monitoring.
- Cardiac patient care.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Cerner EMR.
- Previous travel nursing experience.
Floating Requirements
Traveler may float as needed to:
- Emergency Department (ED) Hold
- ICU
- Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Traveler may also be assigned to affiliated facilities:
- Concord Hospital – Laconia
- Concord Hospital – Franklin
Schedule
- 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Day shifts only
Contract Details
- Contract Length: 13 Weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours per Week
Submission Requirements
- Active NH or Compact RN license at submission.
- Minimum 3 years of recent Telemetry experience.
- Updated resume reflecting specialty and travel experience.
- Specialty skills checklist.
- NURSYS license verification for all active RN licenses.
- All requested RTO must be submitted with the application.
- Local candidates are accepted (local rate applies to candidates living within 50 miles).
