Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery (L&D)

Shift: Night Shift – 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM (3x12s)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Work Week: Sunday – Saturday
No On-Call Requirement

Job Description:

Provide comprehensive nursing care to mothers throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum recovery.
Perform ongoing maternal and fetal assessments and monitor patient status throughout the labor process.
Support and manage both routine and high-risk labor and delivery cases.
Assess labor progression and communicate patient updates with providers and interdisciplinary teams.
Monitor fetal heart tracings and respond appropriately to maternal or fetal changes in condition.
Administer medications and treatments according to obstetric and hospital protocols.
Assist physicians and care teams during vaginal deliveries and emergency obstetric situations.
Deliver patient-centered care while promoting maternal and newborn safety.
Educate patients and families regarding labor expectations, delivery process, postpartum recovery, and newborn care.
Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation.
Recognize and respond appropriately to obstetric emergencies.
Collaborate with providers and support services to ensure quality patient outcomes.
Maintain compliance with hospital standards, safety protocols, and evidence-based practice.

Required Qualifications:

Active Massachusetts RN License (Permanent License Required)
Minimum 3 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience
Previous Travel RN experience required
Current BLS Certification
Current ACLS Certification
Strong Labor & Delivery clinical background
