Pay Package (Travel)

• Weekly Gross: $2,603.20
• Weekly Taxable: $1,357.20
• Weekly Non-Taxable: $1,246.00

Schedule

• Days, Monday – Thursday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM (department closed Fridays)
• 36 guaranteed hours/week
• No weekend rotation (call only)
• Call: 4–8 shifts/month (4:30 PM – 7:00 AM following day) + 1 weekend/month (Friday 7:00 AM – Monday 7:00 AM)
• 20-minute call back response time
• Guest house available for call team if housing is more than 20 minutes away
• Program: SimpliFi Travel

Facility Overview
Mayo is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital located in Dover-Foxcroft, ME (38 miles northwest of Bangor). The OR suite includes 3 operating rooms and 1 GI Endoscopy room, averaging 8–10 cases per day. ASAP start needed.

Position Overview
The OR RN circulates across a broad range of surgical specialties. On callback, the RN will also recover patients post-case and conduct pre-op interviews as needed. Must be comfortable monitoring patients on cardiac monitors and interpreting cardiac rhythms during callback recovery. No robotics, high-level trauma, or neuro cases performed at this facility.

Surgical Case Types

• General: Gallbladders, appendectomies, colectomies, hernia repairs (laparoscopic and open)
• Orthopedics: Total joints (hips, knees, shoulders), sports medicine
• Podiatry: Toe amputations, bunionectomies, hammer toes
• GYN: Hysterectomies (mostly laparoscopic), tubals, hysteroscopies, D&Cs
• OB: C-sections (OR RNs circulate, not LDRP RNs)
• Endoscopy: Colonoscopies, EGDs, bronchoscopies
• Urology: TURPs, cystos, lithotripsies, circumcisions

Required Skills

• Minimum 2 years of OR experience (1 year considered if experienced in all case types above)
• Experience circulating the above case types
• Pre-op/PACU experience not required but must be willing to learn and assist in these areas
• Comfortable monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms post-case during callback
• First-time travelers accepted if experience requirements are met

Required Certifications

• BLS (American Heart Association)
• ACLS (American Heart Association)
• PALS

Technology & Equipment

• EMR: Cerner (highly preferred — must include amount of Cerner experience and last date used at submission)
• IV Pumps: Alaris
• Medication Dispensing: Pyxis
