School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Elementary | Kansas City, KS | 2026–2027 School Year
Job Details:
- Position: School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Location: Kansas City, KS
- Setting: Onsite
- School Year: 2026–2027
- Dates: August 17, 2026 through 5/26/2027
- Assignment: Elementary School (multiple positions available)
- Schedule: 40 hours per week
- Lunch: 30-minute duty-free lunch
- Pay Rate: $55-$57 per hour
Role Overview:
As a school-based SLP, you'll provide speech and language services that help students succeed academically and socially. You'll collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers to develop and implement individualized therapy plans that support student growth.
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language evaluations and direct therapy services to elementary students
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals
- Complete evaluations, documentation, and progress reports in a timely manner
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success
- May provide supervision for Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs), depending on assignment
- School assignment, bell schedule, and caseload will be confirmed by the district prior to the start of the assignment
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Kansas Speech-Language Pathologist license through KDADS
- School-based experience preferred, but qualified candidates with a passion for pediatrics are encouraged to apply
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
