Description

Position: Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery

Location: Denver, CO

Job Type: 12 Weeks Contract + possible extensions

Start Date: 07/16/2026

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Nights Shift 3x12 Hours

Schedule: 3 days/week

Expected Hours: 36 hours per week

Job Overview

We are seeking experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurses to provide high-quality care to obstetric patients throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and the immediate postpartum period. The RN will perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with state nursing regulations and accepted standards of practice while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care throughout the labor and delivery process.
  • Monitor maternal and fetal well-being and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
  • Provide health teaching, education, and counseling to patients and families.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed.
  • Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during labor and delivery procedures.
  • Review and monitor treatment plans and patient progress.
  • Coordinate patient referrals and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards.
  • Utilize available resources effectively to ensure safe and efficient patient care.
  • Promote patient safety and support organizational values and service standards.
  • Float to other departments within scope of practice as needed.
  • Participate in on-call coverage and other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1+ year of experience as a RN - Labor and Delivery
  • Active Colorado or Compact state RN License.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • NRP Certification.
