TRAVEL RN – PCU (Progressive Care Unit)
Facility: HCA HealthONE Swedish – Denver, CO
Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (7P–7A)
Duration: 13 weeks

Pay Package (36 hours)
- W2 Hourly Rate: $24
- Weekly Stipend: $1,536.54
- Weekly Gross: $2,400.54
Unit Overview
- 30-bed SRG Cardio PCU (high-acuity progressive/intermediate care)
- Staff: ~65 (RNs + PCTs)
- Ratios: 1:4 (can reach 1:5)
- EMR: Meditech
- Fast-paced cardiac specialty unit (Center of Excellence)
Must-Have Requirements
- Minimum 1 year current acute care PCU experience
- BLS & ACLS required
Preferred Skills
- Chest tube management/removal, pacer wire removal
- 12-lead EKG interpretation
- Oxygen therapy up to BiPAP / heated high flow
- Cardiac drips: heparin, diltiazem, amiodarone, Lasix, dobutamine, milrinone, ketamine
Typical Patient Population / Procedures
- Post-cardiac cath care (right/left heart caths, TAVR, ablations, Watchman, pacemakers)
- Thoracic surgery recovery (VATS/RATS, lobectomy, chest tubes)
- Post open-heart surgery (CABG, valve repairs/replacements, aortic repairs)
- Vascular post-op care
