🔥 PREMIUM PEDIATRIC CARDIAC ICU CONTRACT – EXCEPTIONAL 1:1 TO 1:2 RATIOS – NIGHTS

First Connect Health is seeking a highly skilled, dedicated Cardiovascular Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (CVPICU) Registered Nurse (RN) for an immediate 13-week travel assignment in Madison, Wisconsin. Operating within a state-of-the-art, Magnet®-designated pediatric medical and surgical center, this mixed 21-bed intensive care unit blends advanced CVPICU and PICU care tracks. 💰 PRE-CALCULATED PAY PACKAGE
- Weekly Gross: $2,570.00
- Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,526.00
- Hourly W2 Rate: $29.00/hr
- Overtime Rate: $43.50/hr (Billable after 40 hours)
📅 SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS
- Schedule: Night shifts, 3x12-Hours (19:00 - 07:30). Monday through Friday with every other or every third weekend rotation required. Some holiday coverage required.
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours weekly.
- Favorable Patient Ratios: Safe 1:1 to 1:2 acute pediatric intensive care staffing models.
- EMR System: Epic charting required.
- Clinical Scope: Providing comprehensive family-centered care for critically ill neonates, infants, pediatrics, and adolescents. Diagnoses encompass complex cardiac anomalies, post-cardiac surgery recovery, congenital heart disease repairs, acute head injuries, critical neuro/neurosurgical tracking, organ transplantation (heart, liver, kidney), multi-system organ failure, advanced respiratory failure, and ECMO management.
- Special Equipment Utilized: CRRT, Ventricular Assist Devices (VAD), ECMO, and standard pediatric ventilation configurations.
- Unit Floating: Required to float flexibly within scope to meet facility needs, including floating out to the NICU and pediatric general care floors.
🚨 REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of inpatient pediatric acute care experience within the last 3 years in the ICU specialty. Strong Pediatric ICU (PICU) experience and at least 1 year of dedicated Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU/CVPICU) or general cardiac experience is strictly required. Extensive Trauma Level II hospital history is required if Level I is missing.
- Travel Mandate: Open to first-time travel nurses ONLY if they possess 3 or more years of extensive, high-acuity pediatric cardiac experience in a major hospital setting.
- Licensure: Active Wisconsin State Nursing License or multi-state Compact RN License must be in hand at the time of submission.
- Certifications Required: Active AHA BLS (American Heart Association ONLY) and PALS are strictly required at submittal.
