Travel Radiation Therapist
Location: Oak Lawn, IL (Just 45 minutes outside Chicago)
Facility: Advocate Christ Medical Center
Shift: Days | 5x8s | 08:00 AM – 4:30 PM (or 5:00 PM)
Hours: 40 hours per week
Duration: Standard 13-week contract (with extension potential)
Setting: Outpatient Radiation Oncology (95% outpatient, 5% inpatient/ER)

📋 Position Overview & Requirements
For Radiation Therapists:
- Daily Volume: Manage approximately 20 patients per machine/day across 3 state-of-the-art treatment rooms.
- Key Skills: Patient rooming, precise alignment/setup, and active treatment delivery utilizing Varian TrueBeam technology.
- Required Credentials: ARRT, BLS, and active IDNS (Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety / IEMA) licensing.
For Oncology Registered Nurses (RN):
- Patient Ratio: 1:1 individualized patient care.
- Weekly Volume: Average of 55 patients, 10 consults, and 15 follow-ups per week.
- Required Credentials: Active IL State Nursing License, BLS.

- The Facility: A premier, 749-bed Level 1 Trauma Center holding both Magnet Designation and Comprehensive Stroke Center honors.
- The Team: A fast-paced, flexible, collaborative unit backed by 12 therapists, 4 RNs, and 2-3 dedicated Physicians.
- Systems Used: EPIC, Mosaiq, Alaris, Pyxis.
- Floating: None. You will stay dedicated to your home unit for the entirety of the contract.

- Scrubs: Any color or brand—wear what makes you comfortable!
- Nail Policy: For strict infection control during direct patient contact, no artificial nails or extenders are permitted. Natural nails must be kept under 1/4-inch long.
⚡ Fast-Track Hiring
- Experience Required: Minimum 1 year of recent experience required (more preferred).
