Opportunity:
Radiation Therapist - Radiation Therapy
Job Details:
• Work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• No weekend rotation required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Facility is closed on holidays
• Treat primarily oncology patients with approximately 95% outpatient and some inpatient/emergency appointments
• Average of 55 outpatient patients per week with 10 consults and 15 follow-ups per week
• Patient ratio of 1:1 with approximately 20 patients per machine per day
• Perform radiation therapy treatment using TrueBeam technology
• Room patients and set up patients in the treatment room
• Work within a team of 12 therapists, 4 registered nurses, and 2-3 physicians
• Chart using EPIC, Mosaic, Alaris, and Pyxis systems
• No floating to other units
• Required certifications: ARRT, BLS, and IEMA/IDNS (Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety)
• Scrub color: Any color permitted
• No artificial fingernails or extenders allowed during direct patient contact; natural nail tips must be kept less than 1/4 inch long
• Free parking available in designated areas

This facility is a large 749-bed Level 1 Trauma Center with Magnet Designation and Comprehensive Stroke Center status, located approximately 45 minutes from Chicago. The radiation therapy department operates three treatment rooms and maintains a fast-paced, flexible, and team-oriented culture focused on delivering high-quality oncology care to patients.
