Description

RN (Outpatient Urology Clinic) – $2,400.20/week

 

Shift: Days | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (5x8)
Setting: Outpatient Urology Clinic
EMR: EPIC

Requirements

  • Active Virginia RN License or Multi-State Compact RN License (required at submission)
  • BLS Certification
  • Minimum 2 years of outpatient urology nursing experience
  • Outpatient clinic experience required
  • Experience performing urodynamic testing (not just assisting)
  • Experience with urology procedures and ambulatory patient care
  • EPIC charting experience required
  • BSN preferred
  • Local candidates accepted

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care in a busy outpatient urology clinic.
  • Perform and assist with office-based urology procedures, including:
    • Cystoscopies
    • Vasectomies
    • Nurse visits
    • Suprapubic catheter changes
    • Foley catheter insertion and management
    • Bladder instillations
  • Perform urodynamic studies independently.
  • Perform bladder scanning and post-void residual (PVR) assessments.
  • Conduct patient assessments, pain evaluations, and medication reconciliation.
  • Interpret laboratory results and communicate findings to providers.
  • Educate patients regarding urologic conditions, procedures, catheter care, medications, and follow-up instructions.
  • Document patient care accurately in EPIC.
  • Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Float within scope of practice as needed.
