PREMIUM MED/SURG TELEMETRY RN CONTRACT – 4x12 NIGHTS – STABLE SCHEDULE
We are seeking a highly experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for an immediate 13-week travel assignment. Operating within a high-acuity 24-bed medical-surgical telemetry overflow environment, this position is tailored for elite nursing professionals fully capable of managing busy cardiac monitoring tracks completely independently. Please note: This facility requires candidates to be flexible with leadership roles. Depending on operational needs, unit charge nurse responsibilities may be assigned after training and resources are provided. Please only apply if you are comfortable with this expectation.
📅 SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS
- Schedule: Night shifts, 4x12-Hours (19:00 PM - 07:30 AM). No block scheduling.
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours guaranteed weekly (Package structured around 40 Regular Hours; shifts run 4x12s for a total of 48 hours weekly).
- Weekend Coverage: Every Other Weekend (EOW) commitment is strictly required.
- EMR System: Cerner required.
- Clinical Environment: Advanced 24-bed unit specializing in a comprehensive mix of high-acuity telemetry overflow caseloads.
- Patient Ratios: Stable daytime and nighttime nursing matrices maintained strictly at a 1:5 patient ratio.
- Clinical Scope & Procedures: Expert management of diverse adult and geriatric populations presenting with acute cardiac, pulmonary, orthopedic trauma, and post-surgical recovery tracks. Daily operational competencies include peripheral/PICC line management, telemetry monitoring (unit and remote), non-invasive airway management, CPAP/BiPAP care, and chest tube lines.
- Pharmacology Protocols: High-level mastery of specialized IV infusions. Must feel fully competent tracking Heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols, and managing non-titratable cardiac or vasoactive drips.
📋 REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION
- Hardstop Experience Rules: Minimum 2 years of consecutive clinical experience strictly in an acute care Med/Surg Telemetry setting [REQUIRED]. Previous travel contract experience is strictly required; first-time travel candidates will not be considered [HARDSTOP].
- Time-Off Restrictions: No pre-approved time off (RTO) is permitted for this contract [HARDSTOP]. The unit cannot accommodate any holiday time off across major seasonal blocks. Travelers must work a minimum of 2 out of 3 major holiday cycles.
- Licensure Rules: Pending Indiana state or Compact nursing licenses are accepted for screening. However, a fully active, unrestricted license must be in-hand by your official contract start date. Local candidates are not accepted.
- Vaccine Mandate: COVID-19 vaccination is not required; Flu vaccination is strictly required [REQUIRED] (Medical/Religious exemptions only).
- Certifications Required: Verifiable Active AHA BLS and NIHSS certifications are mandatory upon submission [REQUIRED].
