PREMIUM RESPIRATORY THERAPIST CONTRACT – 3x12 DAYS – ADULT & CRITICAL CARE SPECIALTY
We are seeking a highly experienced Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) for an immediate 13-week travel assignment. Operating within a high-acuity, fast-paced clinical setting in Columbia, MO, this position is tailored for elite cardiopulmonary professionals fully capable of managing mechanical ventilation, emergency response protocols, and complex critical care caseloads completely independently. Please note: While Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRT) are highly preferred, clinical leadership will proudly accept Certified Respiratory Therapists (CRT) who possess robust, verified critical care and ventilator management backgrounds.
📅 SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS
- Schedule: Day shifts, 3x12-Hours (06:30 AM - 19:00 PM). No block scheduling.
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours guaranteed weekly. Please note that the health system maintains the operational right to downstaff travelers for a maximum of 36 to 48 hours over the duration of the 13-week contract based on census fluctuations.
- Holiday Commitment: Holiday coverage rotation is strictly required based on department scheduling needs.
- EMR System: Meditech charting system required.
- Type of Setting: Diverse, high-yield rotation tracking across ICU, NICU, ER, and general floor therapies.
- Patient Volume & Productivity: Average workflow involves tracking 8 to 12 cases/procedures every 4 hours. Facility productivity standards calculate a count of 1 as approximately 15 minutes of dedicated therapeutic intervention.
- Cross-Coverage Scope: Comprehensive care management spanning across all age groups: neonates, infants, adults, and geriatrics. Top clinical presentations include respiratory failure, ARDS, severe COPD, acute asthma, pneumonia, CHF, COVID-19, sleep apnea, prematurity, and post-op CABG stabilization tracking.
📋 REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION
- Hardstop Experience Rules: Minimum 2 years of consecutive clinical experience strictly as a Respiratory Therapist [REQUIRED]. Must possess explicit, verifiable expertise managing adult mechanical ventilation and advanced critical care paths.
- NICU & Neonatal Parameters: Previous NICU clinical experience is highly preferred but not an absolute requirement [HARDSTOP]. However, if a traveling clinician possesses past NICU background, an active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification is strictly required [HARDSTOP] at the time of submission.
- Licensure Required: Active, unrestricted Missouri (MO) state Respiratory Care practitioner license must be fully in-hand at submittal [HARDSTOP]. Pending licenses cannot be considered to support immediate operational onboarding.
- Vaccine Mandate: COVID-19 vaccination is not required; Flu vaccination is strictly required [REQUIRED] (Medical/Religious exemptions only).
- Certifications Required: Verifiable active AHA BLS and NBRC credentials (RRT or CRT) are mandatory upon profile submission [REQUIRED].
