PREMIUM CVOR REGISTERED NURSE CONTRACT – 3x12 DAYS/EVENINGS

 

We are seeking a highly proficient Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse (RN) for an immediate 17- to 21-week travel assignment in Madison, WI. Operating within a high-acuity Level 1 Trauma and Academic Teaching Center, this tier-2 cardiac position is tailored for elite perioperative professionals. Enjoy a balanced 36-hour guaranteed workweek, dedicated 1:1 intraoperative patient care, and a long-term assignment structure.

 

Please note: This facility enforces strict clinical volume requirements. Profile submissions must demonstrate verified experience in Level 1 or similar large-scale hospital frameworks managing high-caliber, highly complex cardiothoracic and transplant surgeries [HARDSTOP].

 

📅 SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

  • Schedule: Day/Evening shifts, 3x12-Hours (06:40 AM - 19:10 PM). Clinicians must be flexible to work a varied shift template running 09:40 AM - 22:10 PM up to once biweekly. No block scheduling.
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours guaranteed weekly.
  • On-Call Requirements: Weekday and weekend call tracking are strictly required [REQUIRED]. Weekend call rotation follows an every 4th to 5th weekend schedule, running from Friday through Monday morning.
  • EMR System: Epic charting platform is required.
  • Unit Scope & Ratios: Specialized Tier-2 Cardiac Operating Room maintaining a strict 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio across all shifts. Patient populations span adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
  • Surgical Caseloads: High-caliber cardiothoracic, vascular, and transplant cases. Core surgical tracks center on ECMO, CABG, Ascending Aortic Aortic Aneurysm repairs, LVAD/RVAD, TAVR, Thoracic DaVinci Xi Robotics, Mitral Valve Replacements, VATS, Lung Resections, and complex trauma lines (MVAs, GSWS).

📋 REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION

  • Experience Rules: Minimum 2 years of acute care CVOR experience completed within the last 3 years [REQUIRED]. Strong, verified clinical depth in specialized Cardiothoracic Surgery and/or an Acuity Adaptable area (level 3 or above) is required.
  • Licensure Required: An active, unrestricted Wisconsin (WI) state nursing license or an active multistate Compact license must be fully clear and provided upfront at the time of submittal.
  • Certifications Required: Verifiable Active AHA BLS (AHA only) is strictly required upon profile submission [HARDSTOP]. Pending or non-AHA certifications will be automatically redirected by the vendor.
  • Vaccine Mandate: COVID-19 vaccination is not required; Flu vaccination is strictly required [REQUIRED] (Medical/Religious exemptions only).
